Sunspot Resorts a Seattle based Vacation Rental management company has opened operations on Idaho's Priest Lake. The company operates over 200 properties in Washington State, Hawaii and now Idaho.
"I have known Bill May, the president of Sunspots since he was my partner years ago," reports Gerry Rose of Spokane, "And have been fascinated to watch his business grow steady."
"We could see the industry growing fast as more and large homes were being built at Priest Lake and all over the Northwest," says Terri Rose, Gerry's wife.
The Rose's built their own dream home - The Rose Cabin - on the East Shore of Priest Lake over the past two years and began offering it for rent based on advice from Sunspots. They've been able to rent out every available week in summer and the income has been a great incentive.
During that time, Sunspots began to expand into other areas and now operates at Snoqualmie Pass, Leavenworth, Crescent Bar, Lake Chelan and Winthrop Washington as well as in Hawaii. "We could see that Priest Lake was every bit as popular and home owners and guests needed the kind of services that Sunspots offers," says Gerry.
So the Rose's partnered with Sunspots to open Sunspots Priest Lake and eventually have plans to expand into the Lake Coeur d'Alene and Lake Pend O'rielle areas. Bill May, said, "The transition has been smooth because we've done business together so long. The area really needs our kind of advertising, marketing and customer service."
